Yoga for trauma healing, mental health and wellness
1:1 or group sessions
In-person at my Melbourne studio or online sessions are available
Welcome to Nourish & Bloom Yoga
Life is full of overwhelming experiences that leave a lasting impact on both the mind and the body. As a way to cope, we often disconnect from our bodies, trying to process these experiences through the mind.
At Nourish and Bloom Yoga, I offer accessible Yoga to everyone as I believe Yoga is a practical tool that anyone can use to gain physical and mental balance and increase their sense of overall wellbeing.
I encourage and support you to develop your yoga practice at your own pace and experience the deep relaxation and sense of revitalisation that Yoga offers.
Using Trauma Sensitive Yoga practises and drawing on my experiences as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, I will help you create a safe and supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself and your body through Yoga. I will guide you on your own personal healing journey.
We can do this through individual or group yoga sessions either online or in my Melbourne studio.
All individual sessions are tailored to suit the individual needs of the participant, who may also be accessing other supports.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga
In the field of trauma recovery, body focused treatment options are recognised as an important part of multifaceted approaches to healing.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga is one such body-led therapy that has been shown to reduce the symptoms of complex trauma and PTSD.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga sessions emphasise safety, empower choice and share tools to promote resilience and self – regulation to promote healing in the aftermath of trauma
Dru Yoga
A graceful, strong and potent form of yoga.
Based on soft flowing movements, Dru Yoga works on body, mind and spirit, leaving you feeling positive and empowered.
Stress is a widespread experience for individuals and communities.
With Dru Yoga, these stress-induced conditions can be tackled at a very deep level due to its’ “soft body” approach leading to conscious relaxation. Through this interconnectedness of the emotions, body and mind, changing any one of them has the power to change the others.
For example, improved mobility in the spine or joints as a result of yoga movements or postures can often result in the release of stored emotions from earlier traumas.

My name is Becki Giles
Like you I am a lot of people wrapped up into one. I am a curious female, an Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Professional and a Yoga Facilitator.
I am also someone who’s been changed by trauma. I recognise that we all have unique stories, and we all need respite from the ongoing stress of living in today’s world, where many people are affected by significant difficulties.
Through yoga and practices of embodied healing, I hope to support people to connect with their bodies, with themselves and with others as they journey towards recovery.
